Respect for the environment and the ongoing improvement of its protection are priorities for the EOL board and for all of its employees.With a vision of becoming a "clean" group, with a pan for tomorrow, we have put in place palns to manage the sorting of waste, recycling and the the managing of our carbon footprint associated with our activities.

GDB International is certified ISO14001:2004.
Environmentally separating waste for recycling
Collection of packaging is carried out in all EOL sites. Collection points are also available for our distributors who are close to platforms. As we deliver and install products at the final end-user, packaging is removed at the time.
CartonA press of 40 tons compacts the cardboard directly in to a closed 30m3 container.
A second similar sized press has equally been installed at one our principle delivery and installation points in order minimise transport costs.
Annual production: 238 tons
Expanded polystyrene or Frigolite Discarded expanded polystyrene from packaging is crushed and blown into 1m3 sacks.
Annual production : 5772 Kg, 481 sacks.
Plastic
A third 34 ton press is dedicated to plastics which are compacted into a closed 30m3 container.
Annual production: 53.6 tons.
Steel and metalwork mixed
Damaged furniture components with a steel element in sufficient proportion is collected and treated as a waste mixed metal using an open 30 m3 container.
Annual production : 39 tons.
Hazardous waste
Hazardous waste generated by our activity are separated and are collected by specialist disposal companies. Some examples:

Dry batteries
Batteries
Used oil
Aerosol cans
Paint waste
Plastic packaging
Soiled cloths
Fluorescent tubes and bulbs
Broken electronic equipment
Battery liquid
Residue from the oil separating
Clinical waste
Etc
Paper
Paper is also sorted selectively and stored in 1m3 containers.
Heavy metal
Discarded machinery and all miscellaneous heavy metal products are grouped and sold in batches according to weight. Annual production : variable.
